3M Adhesive Products.

This is the 3M® Jet-Weld TM Adhesive System.

This system offers hot melt speed and structural performance in the palm of you hand. The Jet-Weld II applicator and moisture-curing urethane adhesives put a powerful production capability into your assembly operation. This single system combines many production benefits typical of hot melt adhesives and bond performance usually associated with two-part structural adhesives. After several minutes, this unit forms a permanent bond.

Speed and 100% solids.

Fast initial set of the Jet-Weld adhesives can help reduce production costs. Fast handling strength helps eliminate or minimize fixtureing and speed assembly.

With a one-component, moisture-curing formulation, metering, mixing and curing equipment are eliminated from production. This can help simplify production as well as save energy.

100% solids give production a low-VOC adhesive system with no drying equipment and no attack on plastics.

Unique high strength and application versatility.

Jet-Weld adhesives approach the high strength end of the performance range, exceeding many conventional hot melt and PVA (polyvinyl acetate) adhesives.

Based on proprietary 3M urethane technology, Jet-Weld adhesives can bond a wide variety of substrates, including wood, plastics, rubber, dissimilar materials, and plasticized vinyls.

With long bonding range and initial repositionabilty of Jet-Weld adhesives, assembly of complex parts is easier. Bond lines are thin, flexible and tough for improved part fit, appearance and rugged performance.

Combine this versatility with the applicator's portability and you have a system that can adapt readily to many of your production requirements.

Contact us so we can help you determine the correct adhesive for your substrate of ABS, aluminum, EPDM rubber, fabric, felt, cork, FRP both epoxy and polyester based, glass, ceramic, leather, neoprene and nitrile rubbers, nylon, painted metal, polyacrylic, polycarbonate, polyolefins, polystyrene, polystyrene beadboard, PVC either rigid or flexible, steel, styrene butadiene rubber, wood, or hardboard. Please understand that several of the above materials may not be suitable for certain bonding combinations. In addition, due to several materials individual properties (i.e. rubber), adhesion must be evaluated by the user. The 3M Jet-Weld System.

With Scotch TM ATG TM system and LTG Adhesive Applicators, a touch of the finger triggers quick, controlled application of a strip of Scotch ATG pressure sensitive transfer tape. There's is no mess or clean-up. Bond lines are thin and adhesive flows into surface irregularities. With 3M's advanced acrylic and rubber adhesives technology, you can bond, join, mount, or laminate materials such as paper, plastics, metal, wood, and foam. A variety of properties are available to help meet different requirements: high temperature resistance, differential tack, solvent resistance, high initial tack, and others. Please contact us to help you determine the best adhesive for you needs.

3M's Systems approach to improving productivity and lowering costs.

Hot melt bonding systems are becoming more important to manufacturers as pressures increase to improve productivity, lower costs, and conserve energy. Hot Meld Boding Systems from 3M provide effective support in all of these areas.

Jet-Melt TM Adhesives are 100% solid, solvent free thermoplastic resins that become fluid when heated. In the molten state, they quickly wet out the surface and upon cooling harden to form a strong bond to many surfaces. Most of the bond strength is usually achieved in seconds often eliminating the need or clamps or fixturing.

Assemblies can be moved immediately to keep production flowing. No space or energy is consumed for drying. Each adhesive is engineered for use in one of the portable, light-weight Polygun TM applicatiors. (Easy-to-use equipment has established 3M as the leader and innovator in melt-on-demand technology.)

For packaging, special adhesives and applicator accessories provide speed, convenience and economy for a variety of manual carton sealing operations.

Applicators:

Every Polygun Applicator comes with a standard tip engineered for optimum general-purpose use. To help maximize productivity on specific jobs, however, you can select from a variety of optional tips and spreaders. Contact Duo-Fast Northeast so we can help you determine the correct "job-tailored" applicator tips.
